Bees

Friday 14 July 7pm - 8.30pm

with Spencer Christy

Of all the ‘social insects’ the honey bees are the ones that have a close and mysterious mutually supportive relationship with the plants and with us. As we learn more about their community and work with them we will do well to take note of what Rudolf Steiner had to say about them. ‘You’ll begin to understand the life of bees once you’re clear about the fact that the bee lives as if it were in an atmosphere pervaded thoroughly by love’.

Spencer Christy has been practicing biodynamic agriculture since 2004. Within three onths he was asked to care for six bee colonies which he moved to the farm. With no prior experience, this began a life journey of developing the right relationship to the honeybee colony. The talk will draw from personal experience as well as the ‘Bee Lectures’ given by Rudolf Steiner in 1923.

All welcome, no need to book, no charge.
