Gesture as a Way of Finding a Character's Objective

with Sarah Kane

These workshops explore one of the core elements of Michael Chekhov’s acting technique – Creating Character. The workshops build upon each other, but each will be an entirety in itself and can be taken individually.
Please bring soft shoes and comfortable clothing suitable for movement.

Sarah Kane has been teaching, performing and directing using both Chekhov’s technique for acting and Steiner’s approach to speech. She has taught and directed regularly in Germany, Spain, France, the USA, China and India. She currently runs regular classes at Rudolf Steiner House in central London.

These workshops are part of the New Actors Centre, now based at Marylebone Theatre/Rudolf Steiner House. To take part you will need to become a member of the New Actors Centre for £15 at www.newactorscentre.org.
