Saturday 8 July 7pm

by Eurythmy West Midlands

Nine young performers explore the visionary poetry of William Blake, discovering its strong contemporary relevance, interwoven with music for piano and cello by Debussy, Bartok, Britton, Beethoven, Nigel Osbourne and Elizabeth Machonchy.

Words, music and expressive movement that focus on the creative tensions – for example, between Innocence and Experience – offer a deeper hope for a more human future.

'From the moment Blake's words met Debussy's "Brouillards" the performance was full of elegance and power.......This programme was indeed a triumph of youth and experience which wove a "seamless garment'. - Philip Haddon
