Saving the world: Children and the power of magic

Tuesday 4 November 6pm - 7.30pm

Talk and Conversation with Erika Žagar

Children who are in touch with dragons, fairies, mermaids and angels can save our world endangered by pollution and war. Erika Žagar, author of spiritual adventure books, portrays young people who travel bravely through enchanted worlds to triumph over evil forces against which adults are powerless. Through their heroic feats, they grow into confident young people after troubled early childhoods. Erika makes a plea for humanity to live on a more spiritual plane. One of her books is on the syllabus of a Waldorf school in her home country, Slovenia.

Join us in Rudolf Steiner Bookshop for a rare visit and talk and conversation with  Erika Žagar.

Erika Žagar writes spiritual adventure books for children. Her young heroes venture into fantastic worlds of enchanted lakes, magic mountains and underwater kingdoms lit by swirling myriad colours. Her young characters have troubled backgrounds, but they find happiness and become heroes by saving the world from human pollution, wars and cruelty. Assisting them are dragons, mermaids, leprechauns, fairies, mysterious guardians of woods and Poseidon, King of the Underwater World. With their capacity to relate to the magic world, children emerge as saviours of our society and our planet. Living in Slovenia, Erika is a doctor by profession, specialising in bio-resonance treatments. Her books are originally in Slovene and the following books are already translated into English - Poseidon's Underwater School; Sleeping Knights; and Itaia and the Fire Dragon.
