Spiritual Science Research Course

Sunday 16 November 9.30am - 6.30pm

Talk & Workshop with Inessa Burdich

TALK – Meditation as a path of spiritual development and as a research method.

Meditation has recently become an increasingly popular subject but is described and applied in many different ways. So what is it? In this talk, we will explore meditation as a way to nourish and train our soul in a similar way that food and physical exercise are daily necessities for us.

Moreover, you will learn that meditation can also be used as a tool for spiritual research over a wide range of areas.

Focusing on an inner core question is the first aspect of spiritual research and creating a clear content-less inner space is a crucial requirement for it. Achieving these aspects gives the higher worlds the possibility to provide clear insights concerning the research topic.

WORKSHOP – How to control your thoughts

In this workshop, we will discover and apply practical exercises to deepen the topic of the talk. This will be a space to explore the value and practice of meditation as a training and research process. Subjects covered include the following.

  • Practising thought concentration;
  • Experiencing and researching qualities of stability and confidence;
  • Exploring the connection between our physical body and our I-presence;
  • Weleda products research.

This practical workshop aims to help us to recognise our subtle bodies. The starting point in this is developing the ability to have a clear mind and above all strengthening your “I” (true self) so that it is in control of your mind. Specifically Western methods of strengthening are used rather than Eastern methods of receptivity, and practices are taught which can form the basis of an effective and safe spiritual path.

This day course is theme 1 of a 7 part course, each theme of which can be taken independently. The course has run since 2019, has been taken by more than 400 participants, and is currently facilitated in six languages. At each meeting we immerse ourselves in the world of supersensible ideas, principles, and phenomena that are presented in talks, which are then deepened in workshops where we perform Anthroposophical meditations as well as research and perception exercises.

The Spiritual Science Research course consists of seven themes arranged over seven Sundays. Further themes are:

2: The Etheric realm (vital forces) in human beings and nature (8 March 2026)

3: The Astral realm (emotional forces) in human beings and nature (17 May 2026)
