August Macke and Franz Marc: Soulmates of painting (Zoom)

Friday 10 October 7pm - 8.30pm

with Peter van Breda

August Make and Franz Marc were close friends in a new artistic endeavour at the turn of the 20th century. In their work they brought colour and form to life with an unforgettable radiance. They both tragically died in the 1st World War and leave us an astonishing legacy with which to work.

History of Art has remained an innovative companion for Peter for over 50 years. A course given by William (Mucky) Mann, at Emerson College led him to recognise that art through the ages can offer a direct indication of the phases of consciousness through which we have evolved.
