These lectures (GA 233) were given by Rudolf Steiner during the remarkable Christmas Foundation Meeting. We will read about the experience of the World of the Ancient Oriental, about the pre-Christian Mysteries of Artemis at Ephesus, and of the Ancient Mysteries of Hibernia.Steiner speaks also about the philosophical influence of Aristotle from the burning of the Temple of Artemis, on the day in 356 BC when Alexander the Great was born, up until the spiritual revelations of the last third of the nineteenth century.
