The word ‘Karma’ needs unpicking and perhaps nowhere more so than in the world of education, where as adults, we have a responsibility towards children. There is much myth surrounding Karma and
education. Can we untangle these myths? Can we find a truth in what we understand as reincarnation and Karma that can truly help to inform education and teaching? And if so, would it be better to reframe it in a language less loaded? We will begin an exploration of these thoughts.

Helen is an anthroposophist and has been teaching in the Waldorf School for 20 years, mostly as a class teacher. She now teaches as a mainstream primary teacher with a specialismin Special Educational Needs.
